Canada Greener Homes Grant

The Canada Greener Homes Grant provides up to $5,000 for homeowners installing energy-efficient upgrades, such as Mini-Split heat pumps, and an additional $600 for EnerGuide home energy evaluations. This program supports the adoption of energy-efficient technologies to reduce home energy consumption and carbon footprints.

Available Rebate: Up to $5,000 for eligible upgrades and $600 for energy evaluations.

Requirements:

  • The home must be at least six months old.
  • Only primary residences are eligible.
  • Homeowners must complete a pre- and post-retrofit EnerGuide evaluation.

How to Apply:

  1. Register for the program through the Canada Greener Homes Grant portal.
  2. Book an EnerGuide Evaluation: Hire an approved energy advisor for a pre-retrofit evaluation.
  3. Install a Mini-Split Heat Pump: Use a licensed contractor to install the eligible heat pump.
  4. Post-Retrofit Evaluation: After the installation, schedule a follow-up EnerGuide evaluation.
  5. Submit Your Application: Upload all documentation (invoices, energy evaluations) via the online portal.
